GENERAL INFORMATION

This 1.2m x 1.2m Fire Blanket is ideal for smothering small kitchen fires in homes, BBQ and caravan kitchen areas. This Fire Blanket is made from fire resistant fabric and can be used to smother flames caused through cooking. They should be located in the kitchen, away from the stove, preferably between the stove and the kitchen exit. Once used in a fire they must be replaced.

This 1.2m x 1.2m Fire Blanket is very durable and easy to use. It is certified to Australian Standards 3504. The 1.2m x 1.2m fire blanket is suitable to extinguish small cooking fires or fires involving clothing. The fire blanket is made from a fire-resistant fibreglass fabric and is an effective way to control kitchen fires. Fire blanket are a great way to control the ignition of a pan that contains cooking oil.  Fire involving cooking oils are a very common type of kitchen fire.  The fire blanket should be located in the kitchen somewhere between the stove and the exit of the kitchen. You should place it so that if a fire starts on the stove you will still be able to easy access it.

Fire blankets are suitable for use against kitchen fires and stove top fires that involve cooking oils and fats.

Note: Fire Blankets are only designed for SINGLE USE! You should dispose of your Fire Blanket after use.  Never re-use a fire blanket.
